Disney Infinity Farming Guide – Part 2: Gear
If you want to be successful at farming inside Disney Infinity 3.0, you are going to need all the right equipment. The basic farming tutorial in the Sidekick Hub’s Green Portal will stock you with the basics for getting started, but if you want to be a pro you will need to find some better stuff.
Obtaining farming gear for your Sidekicks is pretty easy, and there are six different tools you can unlock to make your farming easier and more efficient. The only place we’ve been able to find farming gear for our sidekicks is the Amazing Treasure Hunt Toy Box available from the Green Portal in the Sidekick section of the Toy Box Hub.
The Amazing Maze
The Maze is in three stages and you can find one chest in each maze, and a final fourth chest at the loud out zone once you’ve completed the run. At first you will feel like you’ve hit the jackpot and will receive gear from every chest you encounter, but eventually as the gear library runs out, you will start to be rewarded with random crops. The chests don’t only spawn farming gear, they also reward you with weapons and hats that your sidekicks can use in battle. The maze is a great way to level your characters and grab awesome gear for your sidekicks.
Here is a quick video of us speed running the maze, and note that the chest locations will occasionally change BUT as long as you continue to hit the restart maze button inside the load out zone of the map, you will continue to reload into the same maze with the same chest locations.
The Gear – Tools & Hats
There are six pieces of farming gear you can collect for your Sidekick Farmers, four Hoes and two Watering cans. They are incredibly useful for farming and its very recommended that you do the Maze run as many times as you can to at least collect an upgraded hoe and a watering can. The watering can will cut your grow time drastically, and the better hoes will reduce your chance of weeds.
Tools you obtain by running the maze and unlocking chests but the other Sidekick Farming Gear is in the form of hats. When you harvest a crop for the first time the plant will drop both a piece of food and a mystery capsule. That capsule contains a hat that corresponds with that specific plant, and when you equip that hat to one of your sidekicks, the chance they will plant that crop increases.
Pro Farmer Tip: For the best farming Sidekicks focus on increasing their Tool & Luck stats! The better equipment requires higher levels (25 for Tools & 18 for Luck)!
