Black Suit Spiderman has been given a major facelift with new skills, combat and abilities for Disney Infinity 3.0’s Marvel Battlegrounds.
Back during Disney Infinity 2.0 when Black Suit Spiderman was originally released, he was nothing more than a repainted figure and a character permanently wearing the Spiderman costume change disc. The team at Infinity took steps to make sure he was something more than just a variant for the release of Marvel Battlegrounds.
The two Spiderman figures no longer share an identical skill tree, special ability, and combat. While they still play a lot like the same character, there are now some major differences.
Below is quick break down of some of the major changes to Black Suit Spiderman & a video of the new skills in action!
Minor changes across all the tabs of Black Suit Spiderman’s skill tree differentiate him from his old red and blue suit. The biggest change is on the Heath & Defense tab, with skills that allow Black Suit to slowly regain health. The health perk comes at a cost, with skills like Spidey Sense getting removed.
Other minor skills have been added / modified to change the focus of combos and their strengths.
Spiderman’s special ability originally featured him launching up into the air and tossing down a large web that trapped and damaged anyone in it’s radius. The new Black Suit Spiderman has the same result but changes the delivery of the attack.
Black Suit Spiderman now has the ability to toss “Web Bombs” (one or multiple) that pack a powerful sticky punch. The bombs sit and wait until they are manually detonated (hold down the special attack button to trigger the explosion).
When the web bomb explodes, a huge blast of damage hits with a wide area of effect. Any enemies caught on the permitter of the blast get a little damage and get wrapped in web slowing them down.
Even cooler yet, the Web Bombs themselves are sticky, allowing you to stick them to enemies. For bigger stronger enemies like a boss fight or heavily armored bad guy, you can easily stick multiple bombs on them before triggering a heavy damage blast.
