Hector Moran does it again with a gorgeous custom figure design for our favorite vine swinging hero, Tarzan. His incredible line up of work includes the previous seen Deadpool and X-Men team, and now he’s taken a bit of left turn away from Marvel and into the classic Disney Animated vaults!
If you’re not following Hector on Twitter, you certainly should be. He shares the step by step process of his development from start to finish and its always fun to follow along with his artistic process. Here are a few stages of Tarzan he’s shared with us:
First he puts together a rough character design seen here. Life less, no color or personality the figures basic shape is put together and ready for the next step.
Then Hector works on a classic character pose. One of the things the Infinity team is very clear about when discussing their art direction is giving the character life within the figure, putting them in an action pose, like their about to leap off the base and come to life.
After the final tweaks Hector sends it to fully render, leaving a gorgeous and highly detailed figure. This isn’t just a a pretty painted image, this is an actual fully rendered 3D model, which could easily be 3D printed.
